Gold and guaranteed room availability.
Quick question, for a Gold, does the guarantee mean that they will make a room available guaranteed for purchase or will also be available for use with points?

1) for purchase
2) at an extremely high rate
3) not in case of any special events in the city

I don't agree with 2 and 3. I have used this a few times and the rates have been pretty much normal weekday rates which are higher than discounted weekend rates but certainly not extreme, and I have used this also during big conferences and other special events in the city. Yes, there are blackout dates that vary per city.
