Upgraded Rooms but no added-value amenities

SPG have a clear rule on upgraded rooms which include added-value amenities: If you get such an unpgrade you are entitled to the benefits.

Club Carlson have also clear rule: Upgrade yes, benefits no!

My conclusion: Whenever possible I stay with SPG!

So far my impression was that Club Carlson had anything but a clear rule on added-value benefits... seems to depend on the hotel and how much asking/negotiating you do for CC...

Not entirely. Check the SPG thread for the argument over my recent stay at the SPG Imperial in VIE. It's more of a YMMV even with an alleged policy that one gets the added-value amenities.

Cheers
