Great...would you have any idea how soon this is going to happen? I have been stacking points with this or the New York Martinique in mind. But I guess it would be better to change my plans, if I ever want to get burn those points.

Have reservation booked with points for a standard room over Christmas. Anyone know how many points to upgrade to plaza club? I've read some where 30,000 points per night but don't know if I remember it right. Also, what kind of offerings do they have at the lounge? Is it comparable to Hyatt Regency lounge?

Radisson Sold??
I contacted a representative from Club Carlson and they told me that the Radisson in Aruba has not been sold. This is good news, I usually use this property for a night or two when I connect with my timeshare week in Aruba. 50k a night point redemption, worth it to help with my connection.

I just returned from Aruba. I stayed two nights at the Radisson for 50K and moved to the Hyatt which I feel is much nicer. I was able to get my 50K back for my second two night reservation. The Radisson has a beautiful beach, as does the Hyatt, but the facility needs a renovation. The one tiny hot tub was out of order both days and the room was showing its age. I was also told the property was sold.

We are here now and all the talk, from longtime guest and employees, is that Hilton will take over in March. The hotel will close for two weeks for the switch over and then they will rotate closing the various building for renovations. This is NOT official but comes from several sources here that seem to know what they are talking about

I emailed the guy in management that answers all the tripadvisor reviews about the rumors and he didn't deny them. No answer was pretty much tells me, imho, that the flag is changing soon. Hilton will be bad news for those that like to redeem points here... they'll probably want 90K points a night.

Does anyone know if Hilton will honor an existing Carlson points reservation after the change? Flights and everything booked for a trip March 11-16. I emailed Carson and they came back with this:

Thank you for taking the time to write.
We actually do not know if and when hotels are sold to different
companies. This may be true, however, it could also be speculation. If
this were to happen and you did make a reservation using your points, it
would be at the new hotel management's discretion to honor your points
reservation. If you decide not to stay after you have made your
reservation and the hotel indeed does switch over, you would have to
call the hotel to cancel your reservation. Then you would need to
contact us with confirmation of your cancellation. Upon doing that, we
would refund any unused points to your account.
We hope this answers your question.
On the other hand, we do have a few other properties in the Caribbean
you might be interested in if your airline tickets are transferable.
Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to assist you.

I just got an email from Radisson Aruba yesterday which advertises that their "SHOVEL" promo rates have been extended thru March 31 ! And no mention of a Hilton takeover!

To confirm what gogiantsfan11 stated, I received following note from Hilton Honors:
Thank you for your inquiry regarding your hotel stay. We appreciate you taking the time to contact us.
Regretfully, the hotel to which you are referring is not a member of the Hilton Worldwide portfolio of brands. Unfortunately, we do not have any information regarding the property's new management. Please contact the hotel directly for further information.
