Check-in at San Juan Airport SJU
US Airways Web site says the counter at SJU opens at 7:30 a.m. Our flight to Philly, on a Tuesday in late October, is at 8:50 a.m. Seems plenty of time, especially as we're flying first class (using miles), but should we expect a long line at the door (or in front of the counter) by the 7:30 opening time? We ran into this at DCA last year for a 6:30 am flight. How early would you suggest arriving? It's not peak tourist season, and although we'll be there for a large conference, the conference ends mid-day Sunday.

It's not peak tourist season and US isn't a major carrier at SJU. Add in the first class check-in line, you'll be fine.
Just show up a little bit before 7:30, so you can get your bags through USDA inspection quickly.

Thanks. Hadn't thought of USDA inspection, though we had to go through that leaving Hawaii.
