IMHO, I think that Ryanair's idea to remove the bright yellow from their cabin interiors is a much better one than Spirit's plan to cover its planes in it.

I was going to post about this, but you beat me to it by 3 minutes

Yellow Liveries

Nice, but I still think the old Northeast Airlines livery before they were bought by Delta is the best looking "yellowbird" livery to ever take to the air.

Yeah! That looks like a phone book. Like Bellsouth, Bellsouth Atlantic and etc.

I just can't get over how much business airplane painters get. Seems like everyone is changing their livery.

Hughes Air West

Reminiscent of the old Hughes Air West (Hughes Air Worst?) livery from the 1970s. Used to call them (DC9s mostly) the big banana. A crummy seat on Spirit, and they're all crummy, is still a crummy seat on Spirit, no matter what the livery is.

Wow that looks hideous. I guess they want attention everywhere.

Their livery before the current one (the grey checkerboard) was probably one of the best looking ones out there, replaced by the Spree Candy one, which is now being replaced by a NyNex yellow pages phone directory.

Wow thats bright.

Why do ultra-LCC bother wasting money on new liveries? Pax want cheap prices more than new paint.
