Baggage Policy change- now 1 piece to Americas
So first the catering and now 1 piece allowance to US in WT (GCH SCH etc exempt)
Wonder what is next?
Will Virgin and the others follow?

Sounds strange, as far as I know, all airlines have a 2pcs limit TATL. Why would BA be the only one not having this?
Edit: I see that Delta has recently changed to 1pcs, 2pcs $50

Unless I am mistaken, BA is also the only carrier among the three European majors to apply the piece concept on its European network with one piece in ET. So I would not find it surprising.

I thought 2 pieces was an FAA requirement of all airlines serving the US?
Edit: I just checked Northwest. They've lumped Europe is as if it was an American Territory:
"Travel between the U.S./Puerto Rico/U.S. Virgin Islands and Europe"
And the allowance for coach is indeed one bag with a $50 (and get this...OR €50) charge for the second one that a non-status coach passenger checks.
Wow! Stinky!

Nothing about this at the House of Beardy, nor at AC, LH, KL or CO websites.
If it does happen, I fear http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/S09847481 will become the carry on baggage of choice for some.

To be going to one bag on TATL sounds very desperate and the bag policy was one of the pros of going with BA or AC over the likes of Air Transat or dare I say Thomas Cook during the Christmas periods when armed with gifts......

About blinking time! I, too like HIDDY, never understood why it was a different rule...
Good move I say...
Now we just need to crack down on the hand baggage... ^
