BA booking through Expedia

BA booking through Expedia
Hi all,
I always try to book flights directly on ba.com. However, I am looking for an ex Switzerland flight to JNB in economy for the new year period.
Price on ba.com = £1150
Price for the same trip on Expedia = £690
Quite a significant difference.
My question is: once I have booked with Expedia, I assume I will be given a BA PNR number that I will be able to add to my exec club account and therefore select the seats for free given my tier status?
Will also the bags allowance for gold apply?
