The status when receiving the mail was silver. The email arrived on Friday and I got the silver status the Tuesday before it came :-)

Well go and ask for silver until 2021 if you think that is what you are entitled to.

I got my extension today (received the email a long time ago). Rather suspiciously the expiry date of my card updated within an hour of booking a flight via ba.com so I wonder if there is some trigger based on making a new booking.
