My most flown is the now sadly departed G-DOCW* x7 (B737), followed by G-BNWB x5 (B767), G-STBA x4 (B77W), G-DBCI x4 (as both BD and BA, A319).

Done plenty three times:
A32S: DBCC/DBCK/EUCC/EUUK/EUUL/EUYJ/
B767: BNWX

and loads twice:
A319: DBCE/DBCG/DBCJ/EUPV/EUOA/EUOB/
A320:EUUH/EUUN/EUUO/EUUS/EUYG/EUYO/EUYR/EUYS/EUYX/GATH/GATM/GATN/GATP/MIDS/MIDT/TTOE/
A321: EUXJ/EUXL/MEDG/
Other: DOCU/LCYF/LCYR/BNLJ/ZBKA/YMMI

Non BA x3: EI-EML (FR) and A7-ADV (QR)

Still haven't done a G-ZZZ... never did a G-BOA....

* I do recall flying G-DOCW to SKG once. I think I was in 3F, and managed to get the window blind wedged open. No amount of tugging or shaking could free it. I mentioned this to the crew who said they'd get engineering to check it out back in LGW. Lo and behold a week later I board G-DOCW back to LGW...3F again, and the window blind is still stuck!

Only other aircraft of note really is 9M-MRO (the missing MH B777) that I flew KUL-HKG a year before she vanished, plus CU-T1549, a far less famous aircraft that crashed in Cuba in 2010.

^ I did exactly the same in Jan (Although I took Wizz from LTN). I absolutely loved the CS Series, was in 1A (snagged a £35 u/g during the booking process) thought it was as quiet as a mouse and the crew were lovely. Catering was like decent also.

I was one letter off with at least 20 goes on G-MIDX. How I miss my weekly encounters with that bird and her washing line livery. The joys of standing in the freezing cold of the Gate 8c airbridge waiting to get onboard. The sad thing is, I actually do miss it!

I started logging it all in flightmemory when I started travelling more for work. Then I used LHR-LGW and a bunch of other sites to piece together the history of the older flights.

But it's something to do when I arrive at the gate and it's not ready to board yet.

So when I book the flight - I log it into FlightMemory, then when I'm waiting to board, I quickly edit it and add the reg.

Doesn't take much time - and it can make interesting reading.

I started recording the plane numbers about 6 months ago. I did notice that my wife and I flew the same plane twice and were exactly in the same seats. But it's on United.

I'd like to say I am a semi-frequant flyer but I've had :

G-EZTX x2 (Easyjet A320)
EI-REL x2 (Aer Arann ATR72)
C-GTDG x2 (First Choice A320)
VH-TQL x2 (Jetstar/EAA Dash8Q300)
TF-SIS x2 (WOW Air A320)

(Only flown longhaul with BA, but never had any repeats)

Fly circa 100 sectors per annum on BA so have many examples.

Most recent was a tad bizarre.
Flew LGW-KIN G-VIIP in seat 2A a couple of weeks ago.
Return leg, a week later, was same aircraft, same seat.

Interestingly the red wine spill that was on the wall (very obvious) on the way out was still there on the way back! A testament to the BA cleaning program!

I was delighted to receive a survey request asking about, amongst other things, aircraft cleanliness. More or less repeated the above story but I am sure few will be surprised to hear that the site crashed every time I tried to save!

I tend not to follow registration numbers, however I know I flew on the famous Gimli Glider twice when AC was running it between LAX and YYZ in the early 2000's.

I used to do regular commuter flights from CRQ to LAX on a Brasilia. Pretty sure they only had one aircraft doing that run back and forth.

More recently I was on a Norwegian 787..on the flight to CPH a guy threw up in the aisle just outside the lavs. Saw the stain on the run on the return flight..knew it was the same plane then lol.

A proud moment although I'd travelled on quite a few of the 320-100s:

My best is same aircraft (G-CIVV) same route (LHR-JFK) same seat 52J pre-refurb

Otherwise common jets:

G-XLEB "Le Baron" to HKG/SFO/LAX
G-XLEF "LEFtenant" ditto
G-BNWA to IST

I've only been keeping score for the last five years. Apart from the occasional glance to check something specific, I hadn't bothered to look at the aggregated details until now.

My most commonly flown airframes are:
  • A320 G-EUUA x 7
  • A320 G-EUYC x 6
  • A320 G-EUYF x 6
  • A319 G-EUPO x 6

There are plenty of 5's, 4's and 3's in there too, but we'd be here all night.
I found this surprising: 81 different A320s.

My long-haul flying is more varied but I have found myself aboard G-CIVW more often than any other.

However... other than back-to-backs between the same airports, on three occasions I have been on the same aircraft twice in the same day.
  • Lufthansa B733 D-ABXU (I'm almost certain of the reg) from LIS-FRA / FRA-MAN
  • FlyBE Dash-8 G-JECE from MAN-EXT / EXT-RNS
  • And most recently, BA A320 G-EUUR from Amsterdam and then later the same day on a Domestic to MAN

The first time it happened, on Lufty, the cabin crew did a double-take when I boarded for the second time and we had a bit of a joke about it. Slightly annoying that I had a really tight connection and we ended up parked on a remote stand which resulted in having to perform a mad dash through flight connections at FRA, only to end up back on the same aircraft.

On FlyBE, after arriving at Exeter, the aircraft went off and did a return sector to somewhere else in between my two flights. Tip - EXT is not somewhere you want to spend any significant amount of time.

I have never made a note of the registration but given I have done 137 LCY-JFK segments, let's split them 50/50 ish and say
69 x G-EUNA
68 x G-EUNB
😎
