Lhr-osl a321

I received a notification of a change to an A321 a while back but didn't realise it was a change of seating configuration and from what I can now see this is flat bed business seats instead of the normal Club Europe seats. This is OSL to LHR btw.

However my positional flight from LHR to OSL also in business looks like a normal club Europe set up.

A few questions hoping for some help

1) Am I looking at it right and that the A321 is as I describe

2) is this a frequent change of plans or is there certain times of day when it's always the 321.

3) if the answer is yes to above can anyone confirm what time it flies from LHR to OSL

1 and 2) Quite possible for the mid haul to go to OSL, this has been spotted elsewhere, even on UK domestics. It's an occasional event, not something that happens routinely.

3) A date would help.

Maybe they are up-gauging the frames used on the OSL rotation due to the increased passengers and money they are making

MEDF & MEDG are getting converted to SH config in the near future. This might be why their current seatmap is appearing.

Wow, that's some advance notice! I might not get my hopes up it will stay that way though. I did like it a few years back on the T1 DUB flights when you could take a decent gamble usually on which flight would get the lie flat seats. Even a couple of occasions when the IFE was turned on

OK, so from that I've worked out you are referring to BA762 departing LHR to OSL on 5 April at 07:50, in which case that leaves Oslo as BA763 at 11:50, with a 50 minute turnaround. You can work this out via Flightradar24, or by logically working it out from the timetable. It indeed shows the midhaul CW seating. And as lorcancoyle rightly indicated, I would not bet the farm on this being maintained in the schedule. At T-3 it may well go back to something less exotic.

I was surprised to see one of these mid-haul A321s on DUS-LHR last Tuesday (19th). I was a little miffed that my repeated attempts to POUG this sector had been unsuccessful.

There is a post somewhere, the early OSL rotation and a few others are scheduled as midhaul a
321 this summer prior to their conversion to short haul next year. Though I can imagine some swapping for maintenence reasons etc

BA0763 OSL-LHR on 28/4 seems to have this configuration as well.

Thanks and that now makes sense.

Unfortunately my positional flight is day before and it's an afternoon one meaning I won't be able to do the early morning but was worth a thought.

Cheers everyone as usual.

How does that affect TLV rotations?
