Is Alex Salmond really Capt Kirk?

Have we had this yet?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/poli...tain-Kirk.html

Alex Salmond denied boarding BA flight because his ticket was made out to Captain James T Kirk. Eventually he does get on, but I'm still confused about why he feels the need to hide behind an obvious alias when (i) many people will recognise him, and (ii) nobody will care.

I was surprised to read he's done it before and LGW and LCY know all about it.

Are you allowed to book a domestic flight under any name you like then?

Obviously he did not get his SS host that day. Its a security device that some indivduals are allowed to use.

I believe Charles Renfrew was used by Prince Charles in his younger days since that is his Scottish title.

Suspect his Tier Points and Avios posting would fail though.

Perhaps it is a little bit of pay back for his countrymen at EDI who used to repeatedly arc up about Jon on the ticket for Jonathan yet at the same time always accept Mike instead of Michael...illogical captain....

Prince Charles not travelling under Charles Windsor, I get.

I might even get the Home Secretary or Northern Irish Secretary etc.

but please, a former Scottish First Minister!?! what a pompous "man*".

I'd ban him for trying to board an aircraft under false identify and causing a security incident. I thought his boss made a big deal about flying purple anyway!

Stop press! New drinks being served on all British Airways domestic flights.

Enjoy a refreshing Romulan Ale with your Corkers crisps.
