335 TPs required for gold - ideas?

Based in YYZ and need to plan a trip to & from EDI before my TP collection year ends

Before realizing Gold was within reach my plan was the standard YYZ-LHR (WT+ with UUA to CW) LHR-EDI and same route back again (WT+ on TATL). This would only give me 200 TPs leaving me 135 short of Gold.

Any creative routes i could take (at minimal $) to earn more TPs for this trip?

You could book the US airways flights YYZ -JFK via CLT rtn and use BA WT+ rtn NYC-EDI. That would get you an extra 140TP's (10+60rtn) which should get you to gold for around $600. I might be wrong, but the YYZ/JFK - EDI should get you 220TP's as the domestic sector is usually booked into J on those routes (90+20=110 each way). That would leave you only needing 115 for gold which the US airways flights would get you.

Or, stick with the original TATL plan, and possibly do an EDI-JER/AMS rtn in CE which would get you 120TP's.

Good luck

What dates are you thinking of?

Also I *think* you would actually make 220 TP on YYZ - LHR - EDI as the domestic leg would book into fully-flex Y.

Wouldn't a return first class on AA or US from YYZ to anywhere (close) be cheaper than this, and achieve the same goal?

Thanks for the suggestions so far.

I am trying to achieve it on minimal cost hence not paying for First

It would be outbound around 20th May and back around 24th May

Presumably this requires the JFK<->CLT sectors to be in F...

That is my experience with ET connections from/to WT+.

As YYZ is in Canada, it would only be a business fare and therefore earn 40TP each way.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of the lack of first out of Canada.

I'm struggling to get ITAMATRIX to price up the route:

YYZ-CLT-JFK-LHR-EDI on 20th or 21st May
EDI-LHR-YYZ on 24th May

I can get the price with Y legs for YYZ-CLT-JFK but don't know the advance routing codes to force this to show First or Business fares. any ideas?

Alternatively could try YYZ-CLT(J)-JFK(J)-LHR(WT+)-EDI(J) on 20th or 21st May. EDI-LHR(J)-JFK(WT+)-YYZ(J) on 24th May but this requires 7 flights but ITA has a max of 6

I'm no expert, but I wouldn't think so as is classed as a short hall international flight from YYZ so only business for 40tp's for good value. There are some first options, but cheap won't be an option. I was thinking the US YYZ-CLT books into econonmy V for 10Tp's, and then you would have the 60TP's for the US CLT-JFK booking into P for 60 TP's.

If just looking for 120TP OP can always connect through JFK, PHL or CLT with a long layover and then take a return F in-between. Some of these can be ridiculously cheap.

Someone far better than me might help you with the ITA entries, but risking the 2PNR's you could try something like the below with an overnight stop in NYC on the return. There are many differing flight combinations available for the below prices.

Thanks Both, will consider these in more detail.

How do you choose travel classes in the advanced route coding on ITA?
