"Flight not created by Manchester" error

New experience (for me) at LCY this morning. Wandered up to check-in assistance as had been getting error online when trying to check-in for return this afternoon. Coincidentally another pax with same issue (and same flight, BA4467) was doing exactly the same.

Check-in agent got "invalid flight" message as it turns out Manchester hadn't created flight in the system yet. This is 10 hours before departure on a business heavy route. Hoping that it resolves itself soon as I'm cutting it fine on return.

Is this a common occurrence?

I believe I may have seen a couple of mainline flights like that, in my decade with BA - either the flight wasn't "created" in check in mode (departure control system), or it somehow got deleted after creation. Very few people in BA would have the access to create/remove flights, and I believe it's mostly done automatically based on the loaded schedule. I would say it's rare, perhaps bealine has better info.

It might happen more often than we know, but it's fixed before it affects anything or anyone.
