Is BA running a headphones competition?

I was wondering if BA is running a competition for the largest set of headphones that can be worn on a human head on board an aircraft.

If so, what is the prize?

I've seen some real belters in recent weeks.

It's a miracle of science that some of these modern, large headphones can be powered by a little iPod and don't need a mains current to power them.

Is this in relation to other passengers' own headphones, or BA's own headphones?

I'm guessing the former.

No, but think they're running a "find a set of headphones that actually work" competition, or so it would seem from my last few long hauls….

I'm all for expensive audio, it sounds brilliant. I don't really get the need for the bus-sized headphones though.
I have a pair of these beauties: http://www.rha-audio.com/uk/headphones/t10i.html
They sound fantastic, cancel external noise, and fit into a little carry case.

Mine (MA450i) keep breaking (happened twice now), but they do honour the guarantee and send me new pairs, so 10/10 for customer service.

They are fantastic. I started off with MA650i and now have their new T10i - both have been brilliant.

Hmm.. I've not had that with MA650i or T10i - do the 450s come with a case? Certainly with the MA650s and T10s they include a little case and recommend you carry them around in that.

IIRC they manufacture them overseas sadly

EDIT: Just looked at the box for mine. "Designed in UK, Assembled in China" - not sure why they didn't go for 'Designed in Scotland'.
