Well, it has been over two and a half years since there has been an Edinburgh Do (was it that long ago ) so I thought I would arrange one for next year. I've organised a couple of EDI Do's before which went well (I think!) so hoping this one will also go well with lots of folks attending.
Everyone is very welcome to come along including +1's.
Here is a link of the many things to see and visit in Edinburgh to whet folks appetite should they decide to attend.

Some will meet up on the Friday for an informal gathering and some optional events may be suggested for the daytime Saturday.
More info will be posted when PETER01 is back with us in the next day or two.

Ah, sorry! The Do Organizer is away at present (due back very soon) and as yet no firm plans have been made regarding times and venue. We tend to meet up for a few drinks between somewhere around 18:00 to 19:30 before heading to a restaurant or eatery.

Yes, I am on holiday but back tomorrow and I'll add the pre-drinks meeting place and the actual Do Venue on Wednesday. Just under 4 weeks to go now!

Let's see what Peter01 comes up with on Wednesday - Jamier45 and I arrive about 1230 on the Saturday from Aberdeen so I guess a few drinks, chat, out for something to eat?
We're planning on having a couple of bottles of bubbly on the train down from ABZ - us teuchters are not as tight as people say, maybe we could save a half bottle (ok 3rd, well maybe quarter) for you, knock it back, drunk and you're half way there having spent nothing!

The timings for the Do is at night for 7.30pm. (as per the Wiki which I have updated)
We shall all meet for pre-drinks at
The Standing Order in George Street
For those who just want to go for a drink there and leave that is fine and likewise if anyone just wants to come for the meal thats fine too.
I will leave to to folks to arrange what they wish to do for the Friday and Saturday during the day and there are links in the Wiki to give folks an idea what they might want to go and see. There are just too many folks coming for me to arrange anything specifically as no doubt in my experience of arranging Do's folks like different things.
I would suggest these places are ideal for meet ups and for a drink. The area is awash with Bars in George Street (parallel to Princes Street)
The Standing Order in George Street
The Voodoo Rooms near to St Andrew Square
I suppose it can be as cheap or expensive as you make it.

After my positive experience at the "KARFA do" I have decided to dip my toes further into the FlyerTalk water. I'll be there on Saturday night
I'm currently holding a room at the HIX Royal Mile, hoping for some suite availability to open up at the Hotel Indigo as they are the same points price for some reason
