BA2644 to Malta

Just started my TP run to Malta and Jersey. Will be checking same plane turnaround at MLA later tonight. I have never seen a busier madder flight. Kids everywhere in Club. 8 rows in CE. Wow need a rest already...

Malta is one of the holiday route flights. It's usually full of families and children in the summer, and elderly people along with families with really young children come September who can take advantage of cheaper flights/hotel stays.

If anyone is interested link to my trip report is here. This includes a photo explanation of how to get through Malta Transit Area.

Note: this blog is hosted outside of FlyerTalk. It includes the normal day by day, flight by flight description of my trip from LGW-MLA-LGW-JER-LGW-MLA-LGW over the weekend of Fri 24 Oct to Sun 26 Oct.

Good report as always, am starting to think twice about Malta in September 2015. :-)

It is half term so many families will be travelling with children. Expect that on most flights

Reading your trip report a few weeks back made me think of this as a destination next year once the schools have gone back after summer holidays. I've decided not to take leave during summer months as of next year and take winter sunshine breaks instead.

I take it that the back-to-back was dead simple, then, based on your photos billinghamn?

This September and October was probably the best time of the entire year in Malta. We had 28-30C pretty much every day right from the first week of September until mid-October. Since last week it's got windier and dropped to around 23-24C with much cooler evenings. August was unbearably hot, not a good idea especially with kids!

Yes it was a piece of cake. You can feel confident that things should go smoothly for your back to back in a few weeks too. I had heard others say the staff that manage the transit gates weren't very happy in their jobs, and I certainly got the same impression!
