Booking Multi City on BA.com

Is there anyway to book a Multi City on BA which uses other One World airlines?
I am trying to book LHR-PVG : PVG-DME : DME-LHR.

BA.com routes me PVG-LHR-DME which is stupid. It can be done on Cathay / Dragonair PVG-HKG-DME in a much shorter time but this is not shown. Any other way to book/ price this One World itinerary on line?

Tried the OneWorld site but couldn't make it work there.

Thanks in advance

They should be able to price it if you call BA.

Otherwise an OTA may be able to price it online.

Actually to price it up you can use ITA Matrix. If possible you may also want to look at open jaw LHR-PVG / DME-LHR with a separate PVG-DME booking.

To book call BA after finding the itinerary and fare on ITA Matrix.

ITA and AA don't see the 'shorter' option either if part of a multi-city.

AA is very good at this. You can sort it there and call BA. Also I find kayak good for this, especially selecting OW and specific carriers. They then often link to BA to buy it, so they somehow manage it on BA

BA.com can barely handle a point to point flight booking without giving grief AA may be a good bet for multi-city pairings.

I would second aa.com and Kayak is not bad either. I have never had a problem with ITA, but I'll take your word for it. Sometimes it just needs a little coaxing.

Great suggestion and was really so much cheaper. BA were quoting in excess of £4K in WTP because of the fare buckets they were able to offer in CX. They also suggested what nux did and it worked out at £1460. Result and many thanks all!!

PVG-DME direct (or via HKG with CX) rather than via LHR with BA when trying to combine with LHR-PVG // DME-LHR.
