BA to OZ interline agreement

Hi,

I want to fly the following route LHR-ICN-FUK. on BA and OZ. LHR-ICN would be a redemption in F and ICN-FUK would be a paid C ticket. So, I guess I need to separate PNRs. With a 65 min connection in ICN, would BA check my bags thru to FUK or would they refuse?

Thanks for any advice!

I believe they will only interline if on one ticket, or if it is to another OneWorld carrier. So, no.

Mmm...I seem to remember that I once did this from BA to TG changing at BKK. They just asked to see the follow on ticket when I checked in. Does it depend on check in staff?

It's policy. The through-check can be done, but it's policy not to. So you may have had that done when an earlier policy was in place, or you may have got lucky with a kind check-in agent.

It's a short flight to FUK-you may as well get Y unless cost difference is minimal.
Is JL more expensive? (They have an interline agreement with BA)
You don't need to separate PNRs, it should already be separated.
See if you can get BP/luggage tags for the OZ flight at LHR.
Even if you can't Korean immigration is typically fast.
(Timing might be different-this was early in the morning)

Yeah I've had this done on a LHR - BKK - REP flight (Bangkok Airways) and on the way back, you may get lucky with the check-in agent.

JL don't fly ICN > FUK.
They do codeshare with Korean Air, but I don't know how that works with interlining.
