'Flexible conditions' - can I force a 'J' quote on ba.com?

I recently priced up some CW tickets using the 'flexible conditions' option. I received a quote for 'C' on the way out and 'D' on the return.

For various reasons (including only having to get one sign-off from the finance dept, even if I change flights on this busy route), I'd prefer to book in 'J' but wasn't given the option. Is there a way on ba.com of forcing a 'J' quote?

I don't think it's relevant, but the route was TLV-GRU. I know that one of the 'C' fares on the TLV-LHR sector is deemed by BA to be 'fully flexible' (whatever that means - if there is no 'C' available, they'll charge me the difference in fare to a 'J', but not sure if that has any bearing on my question.

Cheers
/MHL (hating this nickname more and more every day )

Why not just call or email GGL and get them to give you a J fare quote?

As I understand it BA.com will always default to the lowest fare bucket for any given attempt to fare quote. So if there is a fully flexible (i.e. cancellable and changeable without specific fare penalty) fare in C or D this is the quote you will get as the lowest available.

The only way you can reliably quote for a given fare class is by contacting BA offline.

GGL team are a scarce resource and bothering them with dozens of permutations would be unfair on other passengers. Plus I'm doing my research while in a very boring meeting...

Couldn't agree more. Was an utterly useless meeting...
