Exclamation BBC 2, 8pm Sunday 15th July

Couldn't see that this has been mentioned before (if so, humble apologies) but Pick of the Day in today's Times for tomorrow evening is Engineering Giants: Jumbo Jet Strip-Down (BBC2 at 8pm UK Time).

One of BA's 744s gets stripped down to bare metal and put back together again.

Should be worth a watch if you're interested.

That's alright - doesn't clash with Wallender!

just a heads-up that BBC Two Wales are showing it a little later, at 8.30pm. It's also repeated on Monday night; full details at http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01l1w71

A good call! The OH spotted that a day or so ago, and bookmarked it on the Sky box for me.

Not that there was much else on, of course

Hmm.. Any intelligent way for us to watch this in the USA? I don't imagine this will ever be shown on BBC America.

proxy server that gives you a UK based IP Address or usenet. Both I suppose are the equivalent of taking some crisps from the lounge though.

As far as I know it's not IP blocked

BA's twitter seems to suggest the programme will follow an aircraft undergoing heavy maintenance (maybe one of those alphabetical checks), but the BBC video seems to be about the scrapping of the aircraft.

I guess we'll find out which is correct in an hour or so

Someone posted this link last week for something......I doubted that it would work for me but it did.
Quality seems to depend on how good your connection speed is.

Mainly about a major overhaul. But also they are showing one being scrapped.
