No thanks...
I mean yes, one could argue the M/H product is good enough for a 5 hour flight (did it a few time on the route when BD still operated it before switching to the A330s) but it would be a real downgrade from the current product, and in a way BA would no longer enjoy the massive advantage they have over LY.

Something is very odd.
The article mentions Paris and Athens, both served, when 76 with EU config while
TLV uses the LH config.
Further, the load factors on the TLV route are very high most week entire year, in all cabins with high revenue passengers. Previous discussions were on down the line changing to twice daily 77 service (when they have aircraft for it) which makes down sizing weird and quite strange move in comparison to competition.
My 2 pence, anyway.

People on A.NET (ye i know...) say that the BMI mid-haul A321's are being re-configured with new seats including AVOD and life-flat beds and will operate mid-haul routes, they also say CAI and TLV will switch from widebodied aircraft to these A321 aircraft.

The LH aircraft with it's CW and WT+ configuration is a significant advantage of BA over the competition out of TLV whether it's O/D traffic to London or as feeder flights into the LH network. I certainly would consider taking my business elsewhere if this were the case unless they fitted a pretty good business product on the aircraft. I hope my GGL / CCR status will not be short lived. :-(
