Announcement forthcoming... a final Do!
Erm, I'd be keeping Saturday Sept. 7th free, if I were you.
Nothing fancy, no mega-do, no marquee, no visiting the nether regions of an airplane, but possibly some curry, some ex-DCs, an award and a room full of hangovers.
With that in mind, we'd better organise something...
...when we've done that, we'll be back with more info.

7/9 is good for me - and out of Holiday time.
Derby would be a good base - good pubs, on the train lines and a reasonably cheap Hampton Inn for the HH points
(And you could even fly in to EMA)

Everything around EMA will probably be booked due to a race?

This is a great idea, I remember last time I tried my best to attend but my schedule wouldn't allow it so this would be my first. Is there any idea where this will take place? I could get 13.65% cashback ending today .
I suppose chartering a pocket rocket is out of the question for a flying booze up. though we need to remember that CAA rules prohibit entering an aircraft drunk (as is so often pointed out in Servisair lounges!) Could we fill an ER3, or maybe manage a 1-1 config.

It will be Saturday Sept. 7th and it will be in Castle Donington (not Derby) - I'd be looking at hotels sharpish, if intending to come - as noted there is racing that weekend (as many other weekends).
I know a number of people will be staying at the Hilton, so that's likely to be the Residents' bar of choice.
