bmi Jubilee flight (Thu 5 April)

More 'blogger' activities.

Seems a pretty interesting idea.

Tomorrow, Thursday 5 April 2012, I’ll be joining the Edinburgh to London Heathrow leg of the bmi Queen’s Jubilee tea party flight. It’ll be 60 days until the celebrations for the 60th Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II start. The bmi plane will be festooned with Jubilee memorabilia, and party food and drink will be served. This flight will be an attempt at breaking the World Record for the highest tea party in the Guinness Book of Records.

So which flight will it be? One of the off-peak's surely? I wonder if it's a charter.

Not much marketing activities around this, perhaps only if they break the record will it be mentioned.

Even so, our own little bmi in the Record Books before the final curtain.

My mid-haul menu the other day was not the usual black mistress-knickers design but white with a sepia picture of (I guess) a street party during the coronation. This being bmi, there was no picture caption on the menu anywhere, nor any explanation of what it was supposed to be in aid of. A sort of subliminal jubilee celebration

Seems to be tweets coming live from the plane, at least that is how they appear to me. Has DBCC been fitted with the mobile phone type kit?
