What is the easiest way to extend the expiration of my miles?
I have BMI miles expiring next month (I believe it expire in 24 months if no activity).
What is the easiest way to extend the expiration of my miles?
I used the shopping mall - ebay.uk to make two small purchases 2 weeks ago, no miles posted yet. I guess that doesn't work.
Thanks a lot!

Thanks. Yes, I have looked at it. Have you? :-)
After 24 months inactivity, account will be deleted (essentially all miles gone). Of course if you are lucky they forget to delete you account.
Here is the information there.
Am I miss reading?
Also, I found a lot of inconsistent information, for examples, flyerguide says miles expire in 36 months. Even flybmi's own website says expire 12-24 months on one link, then claims never expire on the other.

Mileage Expiration
Destination Miles do not expire as long as there is account activity within the previous 36 months.

Q: Do my Diamond Club miles expire?
No, Diamond Club destinations miles have no expiration date.

Miles last forever, as long as there is activity on yourt account in the last 12 months. If you earn 1 mile or spend one mile that is classed as activity.
Your account becomes dormant after 12 months with no activity and is locked, and is then deleted 12 months after that unless you ask DC to simply re-activate your account.

OK. Among all the inconsistent information (why can't bmi make this clearer?), I will just trust this thread: miles never expire even if there is NO activity in more than 24 months or longer!

Perhaps they mean miles earned more than a few years ago don't expire just because they are - say - more than two years old.
But, if you don't use an account for more than two years, then it will be closed.
Certainly, I have had miles in my account for more than two years while I waited to spend enough on the credit card to give me flights.
(Then I bought an airfield and the bills - sorry, miles (let's be positive!) - keep rolling in!)
ps. BMI may have been generous/negligent at their housekeeping in the past, but a new owner will probably take a good look at old accounts so as to minimise liabilities.

I am also checking if my miles will be expiring soon. Good to know the miles will be ok.
Got some miles from Star Alliance Mega Do I (think it was 20,000 miles) but haven't figure out how to use it. Seems BMI deducted some miles from my account last year, now I have 17,000 destination miles in my account.
A OT question, what to do with the 17,000 miles? I have re-qualified *G from UA/CO for 2012. Have another 11,000 miles to fly for the rest of the year and I am thinking to credit those miles to BMI. Per the BMI Star Alliance redemption chart, seems it's good for a within American roundtrip Y with ~30,000 miles (zone3 to zone 3). Is that best way to use those miles?
