Avis MXP charges credit card additional money 6 months after rental.
Last time I booked a car with Avis more than half a year ago. Now, on February 20 I've found -42,70 euro from my card missing with description "AVIS MILANO MXP". No explanation sent to my email, no phone calls - just nothing, they just stolen my money. Be aware and always check your credit card's accounts!
I have sent them a message through their web site, but no explanations for three days already. I think I should initiate chargeback through my bank now.

In the US, Visa and Mastercard require charges to be posted within a timely manner. I think it's 30 days. There may be similar provisions in your country. You should consider contacting your bank and disputing the charge.

I'm guessing there are EU rules as to this as well.
