Not sending reminders on Pay Now booking?

Hi.

When I do my usual pay at the counter (or rather, not pay now) rentals, I get a reminder email maybe a day or so before my rental pickup date/time. However, on Pay Now rentals, no reminder email. I have a customer number in my profile so there is no issue there in linking the reservation.

I was curious if this is the experience of others (no reminder on prepaid rentals, non-opaque). Avis Budget says prepaid rentals now account for 25% of rentals at the last investor call. If this is true, I would consider this a rather sleezy tactic. Sure, the customer forgetting is not the fault of Avis and it reduces the potential of creating a refund situation, but it is just not good faith to intentionally remove the reminder automated email system in these cases. If it is true (based on the opinion of others), I can reach out to Avis Budget to ask them about it.
