Hello everyone,

Today my son flew BOG-GRU on AV on a ticket I tried to upgrade with my vouchers but could not due to no I availability, as I picked him up from the airport he told me that a guy was upgraded while on board simply because his wife was upfront, apperently she tried to move back and the purser sent the person that switched with her back to Y and so finally the guy pick his things up and goes to business. I feel deeply disvalued in a situation like this. I tried to pay for an upgrade with a voucher they only offer to people who bring in good revenue for Avianca, the LifeMiles Diamond members, they simply gave a seat upfront to a guy who payed nothing and probably will never fly with them again, whats wrong with this upgrade system?

No one can prove what really happened unless your son had first hand details from the purser. So if you don't like AV move on to another program.

Your upgrade voucher might not been cleared because AV is not offering any First class...

Not really unhappy with AV, I'm quite happy actually. Just saying that AV can use some improvement. I'm not seeking compensation nor anything, it was his first business trip and flying Y was normal for me when I started traveling as well what I'm saying is: AV could really improve the powers of the upgrade voucher to something similar as the status upgrades that happen, as of right now those 4 are pretty much worthless for me. I tried using them in 10 different occasions to no avail.
