The new Avianca VISA. I purchased 2x15,000 for a total of $990 and got 90k miles posted immediately to my account. Factoring in the purchase bonus on my cc, that makes for 1.1c per mile. A great deal!

Did you have any credit card activation issues and/or W2 requests? The CC is very tempting, but not sure I want to jump through all of those hoops!

Same here, bought 15k, got 45k. Paid with my Avianca card. I didn't try for more than one chunk.
As for the card, I applied the instant it was available. I was automatically approved and wasn't asked for any documentation.
