UK Trekker missing in Nepal - please help!
Mods: please feel free to move this post if you feel it would be better placed elsewhere.
Zisimos Souflas, originally from my home city of Sheffield, has been missing in Nepal for approximately four months. He was reported missing since failing to arrive in the UK following his return flight in mid-May. Searches in Nepal have so so far failed to find a trace of him.
His family have recently appeared on BBC News in the UK to discuss his situation and appeal for information. You can see a recently published news item here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england...shire-19311122 For those in the UK, a video of the family's recent appearance on BBC Breakfast can be seen here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-19310652
It would be fantastic if any FTers either visiting or resident in the region could keep their eyes and ears open for anything that might help bring this extremely distressing situation to a close for the family. Zisimos and his siblings attended my school and, although sadly we see these situations more often than we'd like in the media, it takes on a different dimension when it's "closer to home".
Anyone with information can report this by any of the following means:
From within the UK: Please contact South Yorkshire Police by calling 101 and quoting missing person reference KX/2863/2012 (from the UK).
From anywhere else: Contact the Foreign Office, London or the British Embassy PO Box 106 Lainchaur, Kathmandu / Global Response Centre in Nepal on 00 977 1 4410583 / 01-4422294, Email :[email protected], [email protected].
Thank you everyone for taking the time to read this post

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but this week marks 2 years since Zisimos's disappearance with no further news. A sombre anniversary, his Mother is in Kathmandu this week where she will give a Press Conference along with the families of other missing young people in the area.
The family's website dedicated to resolving his disappearance has now been updated here: http://searchingforzisimos.com/
Along with his family, we are keen to keep the plight in the limelight so would ask FTers to keep their eyes and ears open when visiting the region.
Thank you.
