Ansett winging its way back with new senior executive team

Wasn't Jensen at the middle of the Easter 767 shutdown fiaso? I worry if it's all the same people back again. Yes, they ave experience with running AN, but that was the old AN...

Also note comment about details of FF scheme etc won't be revealed until after the creditors meeting. Not a total surprise.

Ansett winging its way back with new senior
executive team

By Darren Goodsir

Ansett yesterday announced an 18-strong senior management team - all
of them internal appointments - just days ahead of a creditors' meeting
that will vote on the airline's sale to the Tesna syndicate headed by
Solomon Lew and Lindsay Fox.

The big appointment sees Trevor Jensen, Ansett's former chief pilot,
winning the prestigious executive general manager of operations post.

Positions have been filled in all key areas - human resources, corporate
affairs, cargo and commercial planning and customer service.

Managers have also been appointed to key airports. However, further
announcements on the projected transfer of ownership have been delayed
until the final creditors' vote, which will take place next Tuesday.

Once approval is gained, details will be released on frequent-flyer
programs, final routes, advertising and in-flight services.

The appointments follow a recruitment process conducted by KPMG in
the wake of Mr Hogan's confirmation.

Mr Hogan said he was pleased to be working with a "highly professional
group of experienced, first rate airline executives". "We are preparing the
airline for transition to private ownership and looking forward immensely
to the challenge ahead," he said.

Meanwhile, Diners Club announced it would act as proxy for its members
at the creditors' meeting.

Diners Club Australia managing director Bryan Ericson said members
were seeking "maximum value" from their Global Rewards accounts.

"Diners Club members earned these points in good faith and may have
lost many millions of points," Mr Ericson said.

Well, TJ resigned today http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
Rumour is he's back to QF!

A Captain Mark Rindfleisch is apparently his replacement.

Cheers,

Justin

Correct: TJ resigned for a job at QF. That's gotta hurt!

Who can say "shuffling deckchairs on the Titanic before she's left port?!"

Looks like this Mr Rindfleish is a worthy and obvious successor.
