Acela Express Priority Boarding

This morning at BOS I heard a PA (by an agent, not the robot) to the effect of:
We now offer priority boarding for Acela Express 2155, the 7:15am departure to Washington, DC; our Select Executive, Select Plus, First Class, and military in uniform are welcome to board at this time.
Has anyone heard this before, or at another station? This would be especially hard to do at NYP, given the set-up.

No, but now the regular riders will know who the "special" people are that pass by them at the gate.

The gates at WAS have been reconfigured with Tensabarriers to provide separate queues for priority boarders and regular passengers.

Here is the sign listing eligible categories of passengers:

It has always been available through the Club Acela at WAS and PHL and by preboard announcement of the track # at NYP and BOS. It really doesn't matter if you are in F as you are, of course, in a separate car and the sole value is to be among the first of the first if you are alone and want a single seat or traveling as a group and want one of the tables.

Interesting that "seniors" have now been removed from the list.
