[Expired] Gold Delta Amex 45,000 SM & $100 Statement credit

Please forgive me if this deal has already been posted or already known; the best I seemed to find was 35k. I tried searching online and didn't find anything on MMS or any other blog. This resulted from me trying to find a hidden link for 70k deal by playing with the code on the link. As I was playing with one of the links, I stumbled upon the following:

25,000 bonus miles will be awarded after your first purchase on the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card.

$5,000 or more in qualifying purchases on the Card must be completed within 6 months to be awarded the 20,000 bonus miles

One $100 statement credit will be issued for the first Delta purchase made with the Card

So basically similar spending requirment to the 70k except 45k.

Below are the links I found to work, not sure what the differences are:

The only issue with these links is that there is not a blank for your first name. Instead the middle initial blank is in its place. Maybe it's just a safari issue.

That issue (and how to get around it) is discussed in the 70K miles thread.

Check out post 92 in that thread.

Business Card

Have any of you seen business versions of these cards? I need to buy a cheap one-way ticket on delta, and it would be nice to lower the cost with another statement credit. I got in on the 70K offer, so I can't apply for the personal card right now.

No instant decision

Applied using the link above and the technique mentioned in 70k mile thread post#92, except that I modified the url from the link with my first and last names and SM number. This was necessary to get it to accept first name.

However, instead of the instance decision I expected, it told me a decision would be mailed to me with 14 business days.

Keep in mind that it is quite likely DL will further devalue the SkyMiles program (at least to some extent). 45,000 sounds great, but if you can't even get a domestic Economy ticket for that price, what is the point?

Is there any info out there on what's likely to happen with SkyMiles, even if unconfirmed?

With SM already perceived as the worst of the major FF programs, can they really afford to get any worse? Just wondering...

If rumors and conjecture is what you want, TPG has it.

SM still worth it

I get it that they're not worth as much as say, AA, but since doing a Delta card churn between business and personal, I have not had much of an issue booking RT flights for 25,000. Sure, they're not going to be available over the 4th of July, but most of the time I've just had to flex up or down a weekend and been fine. In 4 weeks I fly to SFO from JFK for 25k, and booked two tix for my parents to visit me in NYC from SLC for 25k each as well.

The 70 K offer is expired. It was only available for a limited time.

Is there an annual fee, and is it waived for the first year?

I might add this to an app-o-rama I'm about to do, haven't found any other good AMEX cards (already have SPG's and Hilton) and haven't had the AMEX Delta in a few years. Even with an annual fee some of the cards pay for themselves if you add Authorized Users and use them on Small Biz Saturday.

smaller spend in shorter time

There is a lower spend offer through December 23rd at https://www304.americanexpress.com/p...&openeep=44243

It doesn't include the $100 statement credit.

I like the lower spend on this one even though it needs to be done in 3 months instead of 6. Doing both business and personal can get you twice the miles for 20% more spend. Also good if you already have one and just need the other or want to leave one for later.
