Starwood points from SPG Amex for Amex GC purchases?
Do you get Starwood points when you use your SPG Amex to purchase Amex Gift Cards online? I heard somewhere you didn't.

they might not but why not just be safe and buy them in a physical location (grocery store, etc) for a non obvious amount (ie anything but $x00.00)?
