Seems fairly cataclysmic if true. Sitting on a UA flight loaded up at gate for departure in HNL. Captain says we're ground stopped. Says it's all airlines.

UA Board confirms stops on UA's flights in BOS and IAH. Anyone know of AA's flights throughout AA's route system?

Huh, why would FAA ground stop all UA flts only?

Not sure I've heard that one before, but maybe I just wasn't paying attention.

I understand that UA's computer system in Chicago is having big-time problems. Notice that the FAA says it is at UA's request.

FYI cross posting the same exact question is frowned upon. There was a thread in UA explaining what was going on.

This has zero to do with AA or DL where you also posted this same qiestion. If all flights worldwide were shut down, the 2nd coming would happening. Nothing less then something like that would cause every plane, everywhere in the world to need to be grounded.

The UA ground stop was due to an internal IT issue. As the ground stop has been lifted AND this topic is not related to AA/AAdvantage, we will close this thread. Thanks. /Moderator
