AA Contest - cities included on map

AA has a new contest to promote that 3 airlines have recently joined OW.

"Enter for a chance to win a First Class trip to any continent"

I found it interesting that the cities on the map are all either AA or US Airways hubs with the exception of one, SFO. I thought maybe they were doing some kind of IP lookup to find the city I am in (San Francisco) and including it because of that, but SFO also appeared if I pretended to be in Boston or Atlanta or Sydney using VPN, and those cities did not in turn appear on the map.

Are others seeing that, too, or did they determine my location some other way?

Interesting. So, why include SFO and not SEA or BOS or ...?

Despite just connecting to the hubs, AA is nonetheless the second largest airline in San Francisco, larger than Virgin America even. It's a major station for AA and a key oneWorld international gateway, but certainly don't read more into it than that.

AA: A, B, C and D; BA, QF. Six.

Now, to bring this back on topic... You may wish to consider which easy to get to airport you may "be near today" on the basis of which three flights you are offered that meet your desired flights if you win.

I don't think it will matter which cities you pick since the prize is miles, hotel vouchers, and a camera.
