MCE aisle seat availability from SNA?

I've recently started flying out of SNA rather than LAX, and I've noticed that even if I book flights over a month in advance, all the MCE aisle seats are blocked out. Am I just having bad luck, or is there something else at play here (reserving aisle seats for higher tier elites maybe)?

AA does not block seats for higher tier elites. EXP, PLT and GLD have access to preferred plus (or whatever it is called).

It is possible that people book travel in advance and tend to like aisle seats.

That is exactly the case. There is no seat blocking taking place.

Thanks, that's what I figured, but thought I'd check. I do see MCE availability as I am GLD myself, but wasn't sure if seat blocking takes place for EXP maybe.

If you're a GLD, you're seeing what's available. I could see a situation where a non-elite may see fewer seats on some routes where more MCE seats are reserved for elites.

Which flight? SNA is my home airport, and never have issues with MCE (most are less than 2 weeks out).
