How do I let check-in know I am OW Emerald

I am BA Gold (OW Emerald) and have just booked a couple of redemption flights lax/las in Y using some AAdvantage miles. Obviously to do this I have entered my AA number which won't show my status.
I found that after booking I can't enter my BA number which would trigger priority boarding, extra luggage, lounge access etc.
My question is how do I let the system know, or do I just carry my Gold card to show when I check in?

How about calling AA and asking them? I'm not completely sure you do qualify, this is an AA flight using AA miles.

The irony here is that LAX-LAS flights are much, much cheaper using BA miles than AA miles :\

Does BA provide a BAEC membership card with oneworld Emerald colour chip? That might be the easiest way to access benefits.

No irony really. I had some AA miles that were about to expire, so used 12.5K of them instead of 9K Avios which I am saving up.

Yes there is a OW colour chip on the card. Still need the details to go on the boarding card for priority access and boarding. I will ring AA sometime.

For early boarding, the card should suffice.

Try Web Services; the boffins there can often figure these things out better.

If you're worried about lounge access, I'm sure that you could present your card at the entrance to the FL/Admirals Club and be allowed in. But then again, I don't know.

I've run into this in the past, with a different alliance. I tried to book a flight to Germany using some old Aeroplan miles, even though I had status with United and was on United metal.

Long story short - you can't. You can get them to make an amendment once you're at the airport, but in terms of seat selection, you're SOL. The good news is that (again, if it's anything like my Star Alliance example) it's easy to do at the airport, and won't have any problem securing lounge access or whatever privileges you should have.

You still can't accrue mileage on the ticket though.

Call AA and they'll add your number. Just done this myself.

You need to call AA to replace the AA number with your BA number. Can't be done online. As this booking was made by AA (SABRE), it will not show up on finnnair or Qatar (Amadeus).
