Flight leaves, arrives, 20 minutes early
I don't know how common this is, but it is the first time it ever happened to me. I arrived this morning for a flight ISP to BOS. About 1/2 hour before the flight, I hear the gate agent on the phone. "Everyone has checked in already. Should I send them to the plane?" He must have been told yes, because we took off and landed 20 minutes early. I had planned on lunch with a friend in Boston during a layover there. He was 20 minutes early too.

I had that happen on a MHT-LGA Eagle flight this fall. We were only 7/33 and we were all there way early. So boarding started 25 minutes before the flight, and since we were all in our seats in 10 minutes, we just left.

I'm not quite sure you can ever associate the phrases "wonderful flight" and "LGA"!

LGA is *SO* much better now. I flew out last Wednesday afternoon on a 4:30 shuttle flight to BOS. We pushed back at 4:29 and were #2 for departure.
Putting slot limits back in place made a HUGE difference.

I have to agree that LGA has gotten better (albeit on good weather days). I flew from PHX-LGA via ORD last week (3pm from PHX, 8pm from ORD). Both flights landed 20 min early -- and we only had to wait for a gate at LGA for 10 minutes!

I was Rule 120'd from a UAL flight at ORD to an AA flight and got to the gate at 5:13--before the 5:14 departure. The agent had closed the door, but with a smile and an EXP card, I got it opened. The plane was waiting for fuel for 2 more minutes, so I just made it.

What I want to know is -- if you had an EXP card -- why fly UA at all?

I flew into LGA today on AA# 742 from DFW. Had a tailwind and arrived at LGA 40 minutes early; zero ground delay and we rolled right up to an open gate. Nice change from the LGA of recent past, if it keeps up.

Some people have Exec Cards and also 1K cards. Some people even have PM cards on top of that...
