Ticket Fare Classification

If I purchased nonrefundable tickets through US Airways, how do I tell what class of fare it is considered on American for the purpose of determining whether I am stuck with .5 elite qualifying points per mile? I tried calling American about this and gave up after I was transferred to a fifth person.

What booking fare codes for the marketing carrier show on your ticket receipt?

It's on your receipt and itinerary. It will be a single letter in parenthesis on the right. I find that a lot of discount economy tickets like those purchased in advance on the web fall into the (O), (N), and (S) fare classes. These all get 0.5 EQP, but still 100% EQM and RDM.
