US A330 in AA Colours

I spotted one this morning parked at CDG T2A, first time I saw one in AA Colours. I assume it's the CDG-CLT or CDG-PHL. Is US dba AA receiving new A330s or have they started repainting their own planes ? I wonder when they'll start being used on pre-merger AA CDG sectors as an intermediary between 767/787s and 777s.

US aircraft started being painted in AA colors many months ago. AA is not due to receive any A330 aircraft at this point. All are pmUS.

A number of 330s have been repainted. I work right along the final path into PHL and see at least 3-5 a day painted in the new colors.

Almost all of US Air's A330s have been repainted. They will finish the repaint within the next few weeks. In fact, all of US Air's internationally configured fleet will be repainted by the end of next month. The goal was to have all transatlantic aircraft to be repainted for the Summer schedule.

According to this: https://sites.google.com/site/newame...airbus-330-200

9/9 A330-300's have been repainted in AA colors, and 12/15 of the A330-200's have been repainted. So almost all of them.

Oh no! I have a trip LHR-PHL-LHR at the end of March on the A330-300 and was hoping it would still show the USAirways name.

It will. Until the single operating certificate is obtained, the repainted US planes have a sticker near the door that confirms that the airplane is operated under the US Airways certificate.

Oh, you meant the old US livery. Probably not.

I think you have it reversed...there are 9 A333's in the fleet and 15 A332's.

Flew PHL-LHR-PHL two weeks ago and both aircraft were AA colors. And my 321 from SJC-PHL yesterday was AA paint, so they do seem to be working their way through the fleet at a fair rate.

You can track the progress of the fleet repaint at airliners.net. They have an entire thread on the status of both the AA and US fleets progress in moving to the new AA livery down to the individual plane level. They love tracking these things. Includes the regional fleet as well.
