Extension of Status Buyback Offer (2008)
Received an extension of AA's status buyback offer today.
"We know you are a busy person and may have overlooked the opportunity..."
Bottom line: Deadline to re-purchase Plat or Gold status (for those of us who did not requalify) was extended to May 15.

I took advantage of this afterall. Sudden upturn in travel, and I could not bear the thought of boarding in Zone 8.

I got the offer too, but I don't think I'll be extending through buyback. I could make it back to elite with the adder promotion, but that means I probably need to do a mileage run (and I'm still trying to decide if it's worth the time/efforts to do a mileage run).
