I've been lurking in the wings waiting for a fare sale to GRU. I have yet to see one. Anyone know if there's a typical time frame they offer a fare sale to GRU from JFK?

I catched an offer in august 2000 return in business class to gru , gig or eze . That fare is now gone.

Fares from YYZ in Y are now around 800$ including tax.

You'll very rarely find cheap fares to GRU/GIG these days.. Reminds of the fare war they had with TAM a couple years ago.. $249 RT all in JFK-GIG..

Good luck with cheap fares. I'm flying my wife, daughter and her bf to GRU to see our son who now lives there. Flying down 12/25 and they are returning 1/1 at $1233 r/t. Confirmed eVip to biz for them on 1/1, waitlisted other flights. I didn't receive the email, but I might call since we will be 2x a year flyers JFK-GRU for the next couple of years.

I've read the stories about it, but my son made an excellent observation. He said it's like NYC in the 1970s. Dangerous in the wrong neighborhoods, fun in the right ones.

Was anybody able to get the bonus without being targeted? I didn't receive the original e-mail but I did register for the promotion and am thinking on booking those flights.
