Miss connection on ANA at NRT

I will fly LAX-NRT-PEK next this Friday. With only 55min layover at NRT, I will miss my next leg flight to PEK if there is any slight delay. There isn't any non-stop flight on *A to PEK later that day. I am wondering if ANA would provide a free hotel night and rebook me for the next day? Anybody have any experience like this? I am interested to have a quick stop in Tokyo.

You'll need 1.5 hours to get the bus to Tokyo. My wife takes ANA all the time throught the travel agent in China and she always gets a comp hotel 1 or 2 nights because the flights never seem to go continuous from NRT to US. I'm not sure how missing the flight would work. They will probably put you accross the street like they do to my wife in Chiba. Subways in Tokyo shut down at about 12-1am. Taking a taxi from Tokyo back to the airport would be probably the same cost more than just paying for a room in Tokyo, such as the Shinagawa Prince hotel.

I believe the MCT at NRT is 45 minutes(international-international) ! If you are cutting it close they will no doubt have someone waiting by the aircraft bridge with your name on a sign and they will get you to your next flight. Good luck in being totally late, and getting a free-stopover !

In my experience flying UA, they might take you from the deplaning gate straight back into the terminal to be escorted to your new gate if you are really running late.

I remember this happening on LAX-NRT for people who were continuing onto TPE just moments later back in November 2009.

Thank you for the tips on the sub. If I did end up to have the night there, I will try to ask for a hotel closure to the city.

Normally there's a CA flight later in the evening, but looks like it's X6...
You'd almost certainly be accommodated on DL if things go south before being booked overnight in a hotel.

The person above said 45 minutes which is actually more accurate. 1.5 hours is an extreme amount of time to get there.
As one user also said, they escorted me directy to my gate and I wasn't even late. If you end up having time in the airport go to the one shop at the end of the terminal and get some Bacon & Pepper Cratz, those things are incredible.

Update: My flight is very smooth. Took off from LAX on time. I am the first one off the plane then only 10 minutes fo rme to go through the security and walked over the next gate.
