Avis and Mille Miglia
Hi all,
I was wondering what the amount of miles is you get for renting with Avis. On the Alitalia it states 300 miles per day but on the Avis site only 300 miles per rental.
Can anyone clarify this?

According the italian site of MM, you should earn a base of 600 - 900mi per rental, depending of your status. Then for every rental day you should get 300mi up to a max. of 4800mi. And for your 4th rental within 12mt you will get a bonus of 1000mi.

- according the footnotes it says the benefits are only applicable in Italy - do you think that also refers to the miles or just the other benefits (sat nav etc..)?I am an Avis Preferred client in Italy and just rented a car in the UK so will be interested to see what is actually credited in terms of miles.
If you are in Italy you can also get more miles if you have an AZ co-branded Amex card - 3 miles for every Euro spent with the Gold and 4 miles with the Platinum. The platinum Amex Alitalia also gives you access to the Avis President's Club.

Select alitalia as airline partner and it shows. It also states that you need a valid boarding pass outside of Italy, which is also not mentioned on the Alitalia website.
