Nice! When they will start flight from Seattle to Alaska? Is that only for freighter aircraft?

Is this a 100% freighter airplane with no passengers, not a half-way freighter like the 400-combi series?

Correct, 100% cargo. Minus the two people up front, of course.

Wonder if the livery will be any different besides just adding Air Cargo after the Alaska.

A year to do the conversion? That's obv a lot more than ripping out seats and putting in stuff to hold pallets.

Since this appears to be a first ever 737-700 conversion I am sure it has to go through an FAA certification process that involves test flights etc. I think that is probably what makes it so long.

The certification plan depends upon the nature of the mods. If the modification is based on an approved STC, then the certification plan is much more straight forward. I'm assuming there's significant strengthening of the flooring and probably installation of a cargo door that required additional reinforcements.

No, just the pilots. Larger freighters usually have several passenger seats but still no FA.

I thought there was a Gold Streak agent onboard to sign off cargo on delivery

Wink

I would have loved that SEA-TLV AS service. Seriously it would have been very cool to see AS on the tarmac at TLV airport. So AS if you're listening the actual ideal flight for us would be TLV -PDX nonstop. Thanks.

Was there an airport at TLV last time AS serviced that region?

It's been a while
