Not sure, and didn't pry. As it turned out, I was moved to a middle seat in the exit row, bookended by a married couple. They ask me to switch seats with one of them, so I ended up with an exit row aisle, which is arguably better than 6C (at least for those who do not have to rush to make a connection).

Geeze that is some bad luck, sorry to hear that. New 75k as well, I learned my lesson to use GGUs on DC and ORD but other than those misses 14/16 on the year.

5/28/16 SEA-LAS AS 600 (then 602): upgraded 600 at 48 hours (MVP window), then SDC to 602 and could upgrade to F (which hasn't happened in forever).
The seating chart for AS 600 at T-72 was... fascinating. Nobody in F, entirely full Y cabin. NK is definitely affecting last minute yields; you can buy a ticket for tomorrow evening in Y on SEA-LAS for $155.

AS #69 SEA-KTN
MVP upgraded w/MVP companion on same PNR at T-48
Easy upgrade, especially considering it was a -400 with only 12 F seats

5/30/16 AS #65 JNU-ANC - The upgrade cleared after boarding, but I declined.
I was already settled into my window seat on the F side and didn't want to trade for 1C bulkhead aisle. NOAA showed the weather up the coast was clear, so the opportunity for beautiful views of the mountains won out.
