How much time did you have between flights? For me, the end of August shouldn't be that busy...

Seattle's home, so no connection. I'm not sure to what extent AS currently uses these gates but in theory this could affect connection times. Bags hadn't even begun to be unloaded when the first bus pulled away.

Ah okay, going down I have a 150 minute wait, but coming back I only have 100 minute wait that makes me a little nervous. Thankfully my gf and I agree on not checking any bags. It's just SEA-ANC, but those N gates I have burning hate for but not as much as the end of the C concourse.

A 40-minute connect at SEA under normal circumstances is very doable (if you walk briskly), and so adding in 25 minutes for bus transit time means that a 65-minute connect is still quite comfortable. That is still a long ways from 100 minutes, though, so there's no cause for concern, even in the rare instance you were to get assigned a bus gate.

A 100-minute connect is more than enough time for any possible connection, including remote gates, at SEA, and should not be any cause for being nervous.

Is AA doing this with any regularity or is it just when their inbounds get clumped up and the gates are all full? I assume the latter.

Interesting. Well, you're right, AA.com shows C5L3 as the arrival gate.
Actually, IIRC, the QX gates are all C2[X], where X is a letter. I'm actually not sure where C5 is--the SeaTac map shows the next gate past C2 and C3 as C10, and C9 is a little further up and opposite. Maybe C5 is some stairway over there somewhere that leads downstairs to a bus loading area, though it's odd because the rest of AA's gates are in D.
The POS website itself shows your flight arriving at D6, too. Odd.
