LIH to SEA Flight Route Question
For you pilots out there. I am following the AS 832 flight on flightaware. The route first takes it over Oahu which looks like SW before turning NE toward Seattle. Any idea why?

Military Airspace. There is a large area between Kauai and Oahu that the military uses for training. It is not always active. I have had times when we are flight planned over Oahu, but end up going direct to Lihue after entering Hawaiian airspace due to the area not being active.
