San Francisco Terminal Change Effective August 20, 2014
From AS' Travel Advisories page:
Hadn't seen this on FT yet- feel free to merge if it was.
Alaska Airlines will relocate from Terminal 1, Boarding Area B, to the International Terminal, Boarding Area A, effective August 20, 2014. All flights, both domestic and international, will board out of concourse A. Alaska is relocating to make way for a complete rebuild of Boarding Area B and a new 24-gate facility planned for 2020. Once open, Alaska will move back into the remodeled terminal.

I can't imagine that gates will be abundant, given the closures/shoehorning going on across the airport.
Fwiw, I think this will actually work out pretty well. It will take a lot of crowding and delays to negate the positives of no longer having Alaska split across terminals and consolidating in the less dumpy location.

I wonder if I'll be able to stay airside on my connection to CX? Guess I'll find out on the 20th. It's in F, so it would be nice to go straight to the lounge.

No reason why you shouldn't be able to, as long as your bags (if any) are checked through. If you are unfamiliar with SFO A gates, the passageway to the lounges are just before you'd exit the secured area (on the right), and then you go upstairs - it is down the hallway. Enjoy your soup!

Also note this is a 6-YEAR move for them.
My flight Saturday will be the last one for me at T1.

International terminal is significantly better then terminal 1.
But on the other hand, does anyone know what gates we'll be landing at?
To be honest, gate 20 is pretty freaking awesome - absolutely no walk, straight in/out of the airport...
I guess I will miss that.
