From what I read and took out of it was, if you do not have a TRADITIONAL membership, you'd be charged. IE - credit card access, day pass, etc. But folks like us with a BR membership can still bring a guest in....

The United Club and United Presidential Plus credit cards also offer full United Club membership. Last I checked UA Club members can only access the AS ANC lounge and AS BR members can only access the UA PHX lounge.

I am in the SEA Alaska Boardroom gaining access with just my Citi Exec CC and an AA boarding pass (economy).
No issues and no questions asked.

Not sure yet if I could have brought a guest.

There shouldn't be an issue -- you have an AA club membership and you're holding an AA boarding pass -- which meets the requirements of AA use of the AS Board Room.

By virtue of the Executive card, you are an Admirals Club member. We have access when departing on an AA or US flight by virtue of the AA - US agreement regarding access (there's a lengthy thread in the American Airlines | AAdvantage (pre-merger) forum (here - the wiki explains).
